In 7G Carbon Platform, a facility is a building, site or installation for which the organization keeps emission records: a boiler house, workshop, warehouse, office or vehicle fleet. The organization's administrator creates facilities with a four-step wizard: “Basics”, “Location”, “Ownership and contacts” and “Review”. A new facility joins the GHG contour right away, and data can be entered for it.
Step 1. Basics
Open the facility creation wizard or click “New facility” on the “Facilities” tab of your personal account. Fill in the fields:
- “Facility name” — whatever you call the site, for example “Boiler house No. 1”;
- “Facility type” — boiler house, workshop, warehouse, office, vehicle fleet or other;
- “Condition” — operating, under construction, under reconstruction or under repair;
- “Activity type” under the OKED classifier of economic activities — optional.
Step 2. Location
Search for an address, enter coordinates (for example, 41.31110, 69.27970) or click on the map — the region, city and district are detected automatically. The address and the point are linked: an address you enter places the point, and a point you place fills in the address. If you are on site, the “My location” button is handy.
Step 3. Ownership and contacts
- “Control” — who operates the facility: “Owned”, “Leased”, “Joint ownership” or “Not controlled”.
- “Participation share” — the organization's share in the facility, from 1 to 100%.
- “Area” — in m².
- “Contact phone”, “Contact email” and “Description” — optional.

Step 4. Review
Check the summary: you can reopen any step with “Edit”. Here you can also tick the employees who will enter data for the facility, adjust their permissions or add new ones — they are assigned to the facility as soon as it is created. The platform assigns the facility code. Click “Create facility”.
Example: facility versus equipment
A common mistake is to create a separate facility for every boiler or vehicle. A facility is a site; the equipment on it is added later, during data entry. Suppose the organization has a plant, a warehouse with a standby diesel generator and a head office:

Three sites mean three facilities in the list and three points on the organization's map; the emission sources of each are entered in its own monthly form. How this works is described in Monthly data entry.
Responsible person and editing a facility
Facilities are edited by the administrator on the “Facilities” tab of the personal account. The “Edit” button opens the “Edit facility” window: on the left is the “Facility card” — name, type, condition, responsible person, control, share, area and contacts; on the right is a map where you can change the point and address on the spot. “Save” stores only the fields you changed.
In the “Responsible” field, you can choose only an employee assigned to this facility. The assignment is cleared automatically if the employee is deactivated or the facility is removed from their list. A responsible person with permission to edit data can close the facility's year — see Closing the year and the annual report.
The facility's location affects the calculation. After it changes, the platform updates the calculations, and the year's “Change history” shows the entry “Facility location changed — calculations updated”.
Frequently asked questions
Who can create and delete facilities?
Only the organization's administrator. Employees see the facilities they are assigned to and enter data for them, but they do not create or delete facilities.
Why can't I delete a facility?
A facility with employees assigned to it cannot be deleted. Move those employees to other facilities first — every employee must keep at least one facility.
Can a facility be located outside Uzbekistan?
Not at present: the platform's map is limited to Uzbekistan, and the region is determined by its administrative boundaries. The wizard will not accept a point outside the country.
Can I change a facility's name or type after creating it?
Yes. On the “Facilities” tab of your personal account, click “Edit” next to the facility, correct the fields and click “Save”.
