To get started with 7G Carbon Platform, register your organization with its taxpayer identification number (TIN), sign in to your personal account, create your first facility and add the employees who will enter data. You can then go to “Data entry” and record fuel and energy use month by month. The contour that is live today is GHG — corporate accounting of Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions.
Step 1. Register your organization
- Open the registration page and fill in “Organisation name”, “Organisation INN” (your TIN) and “Email”. Give your consent to the processing of personal data and click “Get a code”.
- Enter the six-digit code from the email and click “Confirm email”.
- In the “Administrator details” step, enter your full name, phone number and a password of 8 to 20 characters: Latin letters, digits and symbols. Click “Create account”.
Whoever registers the organization becomes its administrator. The platform uses the TIN to check open official records about the organization. If the check succeeds, the organization is ready to work right away. If the records cannot be verified automatically, the organization is sent for review: until it is approved, you cannot create facilities or employees, and you will receive an email once access opens.
Step 2. Sign in and open your personal account
- Sign in on the sign-in page with your email and password. If two-factor authentication is on, a “Verification code” step follows.
- Open “Personal account” from the user menu.
- On the “Overview” tab, look at “My tasks”. The platform suggests the next step itself: add a first facility, add an employee, turn on two-factor authentication or finish collecting the year's data.
The interface language — Russian, Uzbek or English — is switched in the top bar, or in the profile menu on narrow screens. Your choice is kept for your next sign-in.
Step 3. Create your first facility
A facility is a building or site for which you keep records: a boiler house, workshop, warehouse, office or vehicle fleet. Click “New facility” on the “Facilities” tab of your account or open the facility creation page. A four-step wizard takes you from the name to a point on the map. For details, see Facilities in the platform.
Step 4. Add employees
Carbon accounting is rarely a one-person job: the energy engineer knows the fuel consumption, and the accounts department holds the electricity bills. The administrator adds employees on the “Employees and roles” tab and selects their facilities and permissions. The login and password are emailed to the employee and shown on screen once. How to set permissions is explained in Employees and access permissions.
Step 5. Turn on two-factor authentication
Two-factor authentication is optional for organizations, but we recommend turning it on from day one, especially for the administrator. You enable it on the “Profile and security” tab: a code from an authenticator app is added to your password. Step-by-step instructions are in Personal account and two-factor authentication.
Which contours are available
A contour is a workspace of the platform built for a specific task.
| Contour | Purpose | Status |
|---|---|---|
| GHG | Company emissions across Scope 1, 2 and 3 | Live |
| PCAF | Financed emissions of a lending portfolio | Soon |
| CBAM | Embedded emissions in exports to the EU | Soon |
| MRV | Reduction projects: monitoring and calculations | Soon |
| Market | Carbon units and the project registry | Soon |
The “Soon” label means that the section will arrive in a future update and cannot be opened yet. The “Updates” page shows what changed in each release, and “About the platform” gives an overview of the platform.
Frequently asked questions
The confirmation code hasn't arrived. What should I do?
Check your spam folder and click “Send the code again”. If the address is already registered — for example, because you were added earlier as an employee — no code will be sent to it: just sign in on the sign-in page with that email.
How does an employee get access to the platform?
Employees cannot register themselves in an existing organization: employee accounts are created by the organization's administrator. The employee receives a login and password by email and sees only the facilities assigned to them.
Where do I start entering data?
Open “Data entry” and choose a facility, year and month. For Scope 1, the fuel and its quantity are enough; for Scope 2, you need the amount of energy from the bill or the meter readings. See Monthly data entry for details.
Do we need to calculate Scope 3 right away?
No. Start with Scope 1 and 2 — your own fuel and purchased energy. The administrator turns on Scope 3 separately for the relevant year once the organization is ready to collect value chain data. More in Scope 3 in the platform.
